The basics of our politics

The politics of the United States of Free Cliffs are the most revolutionary part of our system. The USFC is keen on trying out new political systems. However, those systems don’t always work. Often attempts at different political ideologies end in disaster. The only system that has been somewhat successful so far was democracy. The USFC was founded on the idea, that any cliff can try out their own political system, with citizens having a single backup: The Federal Government. The USFC is essentially a confederacy in the style of the European Union, just more united for efficiency, yet less united than the United States of America, to preserve diversity. The cliffs in the USFC have the freedom to try out their own systems. The currently planned Reliberated Cliff is aiming for the Swiss system of direct democracy. Other projects of ours include a government of scientists or a new attempt at communism (Note: This cliff is in the early stages and will be voluntary to join). These systems are all interesting concepts but can end in disasters. This is when the Federal Government steps in.

The Federal Government functions as a backer of these experiments but also a guarantee of human rights. The Federal Government is democratically elected, no matter the system of the Cliff. The federal government works its hardest to make sure these elections are free and fair. Through the federal government, the citizens can regulate their own cliffs, and during high dissatisfaction even dissolve it by electing specific parties. The Federal Government also provides an umbrella for all citizens, it allows them to switch cliffs in accordance with their own wishes and unites the law system for cliff-wide cooperation. The Federal Government provides a form of legitimacy for these experiments and aids in their legitimacy.

As we said, the USFC has multiple political systems, but you’re on the federal government's site, so let us explain the federal government. The Federal part of the USFC has three different bodies that care for the legislative. The first is the National Gathering, which has an equal number of representatives for each cliff and works as the main legislative body of the USFC. The government is given its mandate by the National Gathering. The National Gathering is elected by standard candidate list vote, with each cliff having its own. The National Gathering also elects its chairman

The second is The Senate. The Senate is elected by its circuits and represents a certain area of voters. The Senate’s job is to aid the NG in passing legislature. The Senate also has its leader, who serves as one of the main representatives of the USFC. The Senate gets all the odd jobs the USFC needs. It elects leaders and members of Institutions and also Supreme Court Justices. The last body is the President, who has his own article. In order to pass, the legislative bill needs to win the vote of the National Gathering and then either The Senate or The President.

As a bonus, we include the political parties currently present in the National Gathering and The Senate.

The first one is CUP, the Conservative Unity Party. This party has been here since the start of the USFC, and it even predates the Constitution. Back then it was known as the KAYO party however, this name was discontinued as its leader, The Builder, likes things seriously. This party is known for the traditional values of your typical conservative party. Their motto is Freedom, Prosperity, Unity. They consider this motto also their program, as they promote right-wing oriented freedom and high economic freedom which in their stances leads to prosperity and unified cliffs under a strong federal government.

The KKKK party, also known as Pevnou RuKou K AutoKracii RusKých Fízlů. This party is also one of the funding parties of the USFC, however unlike the CUP, it kept the trademark USFC sense of humor and its abbreviation. The Planner and his party are advocates for direct democracy, a balanced budget, lower bureaucracy, and most importantly absolute independence from other countries and their agents. The KKKK is founded on the true traditional values of the USFC, like JokeSpeak or the Supreme Founders. The KKKK wishes to keep the true tradition of the USFC as it was taught by Tha Planner's mentor.

The Plus Movement was born from the LGBTQ party funded by the current President. The party, funded by The Writer, was handed over to its current party leader known as The Druid. It got rebranded to the Plus movement. The Plus movement's motto is "To make our country worth living in". This motto is supported by the Plus movement's work in personal freedom. The Plus movement embraces economic conservatism, with a however some progressive taxation. The party is generally considered a centrist libertarian. Perhaps the thing it is most famous for is its stance on Identity politics, as it is extremely open to this topic.

The Final currently functioning National Gathering party is the Union of People's Synarchist Front. This party is brand new to the political climate. The party is tied to synarchism, which can be described as the rule of the elite. The party however rejects the elite part of it. UPSF believes that a secretive government that works for the people and not for itself while also respecting individual freedoms is an idea that wasn't given a chance. This utopia of theirs is the plan of the UPSF. Currently, the UPSF does not have enough support to make their dreams come true. The party right now supports strongly left-wing and socialist policies in the National Gathering. Its leader is known as the Revolutionary.
